~TECHNIQUE~

This straight-forward and easy-to-understand method allows you to improve your voice without losing your style!

Sometimes artists are apprehensive about studying voice because they don't want to end up "sounding trained." It doesn't matter what your style is - singers who want to maximize their potential need to understand how to get the most out of their voice so they can grow as artists. By studying the basics of singing, you can improve your voice without compromising your unique style!

The Method will not affect your style, which makes it great for everyone from rappers to rockers to opera singers! The Method will help you control your breathing (for volume and stamina) and placement (for pitch). Perfecting these two techniques will increase your range and vocal control, giving you more options not only in what you sing, but how you sing it!

The Method is based on the principles of bel canto, the centuries-old Italian method of learning how to sing correctly, which transcends all styles of singing. The basics of singing on key, not being hoarse at the end of a performance or practice, and maximizing one's range are important to singers of all styles.

Each part of The Method includes a vocal tape or CD for either a woman's or man's voice (please be sure to specify on your order form) which contains exercises to help you achieve your goals, as well as an accompanying illustrated manual which explains the techniques in detail and offers practical advice. Each manual simplifies the principles so you can easily apply them when you vocalize with the tape/CD. Each tape/CD contains uninterrupted exercises, so it also serves as an excellent warm-up to use before a performance or rehearsal.

~The Songwriter's Corner~

The Songwriter's Corner is a great, low-cost way for you to develop your songs as well as your skills as a songwriter!

Songwriters have a very intimate relationship with their songs, as they should. Being so caught up in the artistic process necessitates an objective, professional ear to critique the song on several levels. The Songwriter's Corner lets you get lost in the creative aspect of the songwriting process while still getting guidance and specific suggestions about how to improve your song. Whether it’s the first song you have ever written and you need some serious direction for your idea, or if you are a seasoned songwriter looking to tighten up your writing skills, you will benefit as a songwriter by sending your work out for an objective opinion and some specific, constructive criticism.

Each song that you send in to The Songwriter’s Corner will receive a written critique from Bobbie in regard to the title, subject, lyrics, melody, arrangement, hook and demo quality. Please note that you do NOT need to send in a fully produced song; if you want your critique done before you go into the studio to have it professionally recorded, you can simply record the song with or without music at home on a cassette tape. (You can also send your songs in on CD.)

When you receive your critique you will also receive a special members only email address so that you may contact Bobbie directly with any questions you may have about the critique. If you have any questions concerning sending your work to The Songwriter's Corner, feel free to email us now.
